Vintage Porcelain A huge 16.25 inch platter from Victoria Porcelain of Carlsbad, Austria, from the turn of the last century. This wonderful platter has a raised dot rim and gold trim on the embossed handles. It is decorated with bouquets of purple-pink flowers and green leaves.
The piece is stamped in a light blue oval mark on the bottom that says "Victoria / Carlsbad / Austria." It is shown in the Kovels dictionary of marks on page 59 (m), dated 1891-1918. Price: $15.00.
Made
In A very simple, elegant white ewer or pitcher vase, with a great arching applied handle, marked Austria. This piece does not have a maker's name that I can find, so I don't know its manufacturer or date for sure (I would guess the latter half of the 20th Century, post-1950). This piece is in good condition. There are light bumps, which look original to manufacture. There is one pinhead-size fleabite on one side. There are no cracks or crazing that I can see. The vase measures 6 inches wide, and about 5 inches high. It has a proliferation of marks on the bottom, including a blue "Made in Austria" stamp, and then a series of incised, underglaze numbers: 3326, 66, and 5x. Price: $9.00.
Made
in Austria One of the prettiest trinket boxes I have ever offered, this very elegant box with lid has a very spare design of black and white on gray, with a wonderful interior of lustrous (mother-of-pearl) black. This box is in excellent condition. It has a very clean design and wonderfully detailed notched corners. With lid, it measures about 5 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 1.5 inches high. The only mark is a faded stamp on the bottom that reads "Made in Austria." Price: $25.00. |
