1930s Mount Clemens Pottery
Mexican Pots Luncheon Plate
Yellow Petal (Toulon) Shape

A lovely luncheon plate from Mount Clemens Pottery on the yellow Petal (Toulon) shape, with a decal decoration of Mexican pots and cactus, and with a red border around the rim.

This vintage piece is in fairly good condition. The decal decorations are intensely colored, but show some visible wear (see closeup photo at bottom). The red trim is fairly solid, and the 6 petals of the shape are richly defined. There are two small chips on the rim edge, as shown in the photos at right (white arrows).

The plate measures 9-1/8 inches wide. It is not marked, but the shape is shown at replacements.com (item 64074), and is discussed at the wonderfully helpful website, OhioRiverPottery.com. Price: $7.50.
