Buffalo China Restaurant Ware:
VIENNA, Red Border, Ivory Body
2 Bread & Butter Plates, 1 Dessert Plate

Three (3) restaurant ware plates from Buffalo China (Buffalo Pottery), in a pattern called "Vienna" (red, or dark pink). They are heavy, very solid pieces, indicative of use as restaurant ware. This pattern is shown at replacements as pattern VIENNA-RED or item # 138068 ("red & white flowers, band and swags").

Two of the plates plates measures 6-3/8 inches wide across the rim, which I believe are bread and butter plates. The third plate (top, in photo at right) measures 6-7/8 inches wide, which I think makes it a pie or dessert plate. All three plates are in good condition. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines, but there is heavy utensil wear from use.

The bottoms are marked with a red mark for "Ye Olde Ivory / Buffalo China / Vienna / Design Copyrighted." There is also a green mark, which I would usually think was a decorator's mark (CEL on the two smaller and ..En on the larger plate).
