Signed Oil Painting of Tall Ship

Hydan (or Hydar) original painting; slight crease in the canvas (needs re-stretching), but otherwise in excellent condition. A very beautiful painting.

Beautiful Tin Box from England

5 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide, this wonderful metal box from England is vintage at its best! The top (below right) is a bit worn and banged, but the handle is still secure, and the detail on all four sides is exquisite. The bottom is marked "The Metal Box Co. Ltd. (B. W. & M. Branch) Mansfield / Container Made in England."

Hand-colored prints, made in Italy

The prints are 5" x 7", the frames measure 9" x 11". These are actually color prints that have had thin washes of paint applied to selected areas for effect.

The one on the left is in very good condition; the one on the right has a thin pinhole (see photo below left for location) that can barely be seen. The frames are, I believe, gesso; the right one has a chipped lower-right corner (see below, center). The left picture still has a label reading "Hand Colored Print / Made in Italy" and a seal of a globe with a banner "Imports Unlimited" (see photo, below right).

Vintage 1950s OVIDE
Sugar Bowl and Creamer

A set of delightful vintage 1950s sugar bowl and creamer from Hazel Atlas in a pink and black design, on the shape called "Ovide."

These two pieces are in very good condition. There is a little wear to the black trim at the rim of the sugar bowl, but otherwise both pieces are richly colored and free of flaws.

They measure about 3.5 inches high at the rim and 3.25 inches wide across the rim. The bottom is marked with a raised A inside an H (photo at right).

A lovely metal (tin, I presume) box with lid, decorated in a colorful, very detailed design of brightly colored flowers and scrollwork. The tin is decorated in rich colors of gold and brown, with orange, pink, blue, and yellow flowers and a pink star border.

The inside of the box is a brassy color, typical of Daher boxes. It is in excellent condition. There is no rust on the inside or outside, and the lid fits snugly. The outside decoration is rich and vibrant, highlighted by brassy-gold trim.
