Vintage Oval Serving Platter:

Hibiscus or "Flamingo" Design on Gray-Lure Shape

A wonderfully designed large serving platter from Crooksville in the shape called Gray-Lure, featuring the Hibiscus, or Flamingo, pattern (discontinued 1949). The rich gray glaze has a brilliant red hibiscus decal design with dark green leaves, with a raised beaded trim around the rim. The hibiscus and leaves are very intact, with no signs of utensil marks or wear.

This piece is in good condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are some rough spots on the rim edge, but they don't detract from the display or use of this platter. There are very few utensil marks or signs of use.

The platter measures 13.5 inches long at the handles, and 10-3/8 inches wide at the center. There is no mark I can find. Price: $25.00.
