Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries:
"Pinkie"
Round Vegetable Bowl, Skyline Shape

A hand-painted round vegetable bowl from Blue Ridge/Southern Pottery, decorated with a pin flower with a gray bud, and green leaves and trim around the rim, in a pattern called "Pinkie" (see replacements.com item 7339). The bowl is in the very clearn Skyline shape. It measures 8.75 inches wide at the rim and sits 2.5 inches high.

This vintage bowl is in very good to excellent condition. There are no cracks or hairlines, and almost no crazing. There is very little to see in terms of utensil marks (even on close inspection). The design is nicely colored and not scratched. This piece is stamped with a "Blue Ridge Southern Potteries" mark and a hand-written number 4679. Price: $12.00.

Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries:
"Stanhome Ivy"
2 Cups, Skyline Shape

Two cups from the richly colored, hand-painted "Stanhome Ivy" pattern from Blue Ridge/Southern Potteries, decorated with dark green leaves and red berries.

The Skyline-shape cups measure 3.75 inches wide across the rim and 2 inches high. They are in very good condition, with a hint of staining from use on one cup around the bottom rim, but no other flaws that I can see (middle photo at right).

These pieces are not marked, but are clearly from the Stanhome Ivy pattern. Price: $7.00.

Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries
"Mardi Gras" Plate
Colonial Shape, with Red Trim

This is one of my favorite Blue Ridge/Southern Potteries, called called "Mardi Gras," with brightly colored blue and pink flowers and red trim on the Colonial shape (see replacements.com pattern 7258, "blue & red flowers, red trim") .

This plate measures 9.25 inches wide (a luncheon plate). It is in good condition, although I think it is probably very old. There is a lot of utensil scuffing to the finish, but the decorations are solid and intact. There is one very small brownish spot, visible in the closeup enlarged photos at top. There are no chips or cracks, and the colors are very rich.

This plate is marked "Underglaze / Hand Painted / Souther Potteries, Inc. / Made in U.S.A." in a Gothic script. Price: $15.00.

Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries
Daisy Chain or Spindrift
Pie Plate

A beautifully colored pie plate on the Candlewick beaded-rim shape in a pattern called "Spindrift" (also called "Daisy Chain") from Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries (see item 7449 at replacements.com). This pattern features a trio of blue, red, and yellow flowers surrounded by green leaves and red trim on a beaded border around the rim.

This pie plate measures 10 inches wide across the raised beaded rim. It is in very good condition. There is one scratch mark on the rim, but no chips, cracks, or crazing. The colors are intense, and the trim is very intact.

The piece is marked on the bottom with the mark "Underglaze / Hand Painted / Southern Potteries, Inc. / Oven Proof." Price: $12.00.
