Two
Very Fine French Limoges Tumblers Two very charming small tumblers marked Limoges France in a green script. They are finely shaped and detailed, and the porcelain is of high quality (light shines through, and it has a very light blue cast). These small glasses measure 3.5 inches high at the rim, and 2.75 inches wide across the rim. There are no cracks, chips, hairlines, or scratches; the pieces are in excellent condition, and the lovely blue floral decal designs are intact on front and back. The cups are marked with a Limoges green mark that only says LIMOGES France. Price: $12.00.
Three
GDA Limoges 7.75
inches wide, Three lovely porcelain wide-rimmed soup bowls (plates), decorated with bouquets of pink roses, green leaves, and gold trim. I believe this is the GDA mark used in conjunction with Haviland (although I'm not a Limoges expert, so it could be Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot). All three bowls are in very good condition. One bowl appears to have a pinhead-size gouge mark on the base curve. Otherwise, they have no chips, cracks, flakes, fleabites, hairlines, or crazing (other than the usual backmarks original to manufacture). There is a little bit of wear to the gold trim border around the outer edge, but it's about 95% intact. The bowls are 7.75 inches wide across the rim; the rim itself is 1.5 inches wide. They sit 1.5 inches high at the rim. All three bowls have two backstamps. There is a cursive green "GDA / France." There is also a red-orange "GDA Limoges" in a wreath. Price: $30.00.
This very pretty Limoges plate is decorated with a subtle green rim with gold highlights and trim, and w ith a gorgeous, richly colored fern leaf design. This piece is in excellent condition, showing almost no sign of wear or use. The gold trim is very intact, the green rim is very solid, and the decal decoration is free of scratches or marks. The piece measures 7-3/8 inches wide across the rim. The back has a green stamp, for "Limoges, France." It looks to be the mark for Leon Sazerat, Blondeau & Co., circa 1891-1906.
