Lamberton Sterling China:
Heavy Restaurant Ware Plate “Ivory”

A very heavy, thick restaurantware plate from Lamberton Scammell (Trenton China, NJ, 1924 to 1954) in a pattern or shape called Ivory and Sterling. It has a white center, with a thin red band around the rim. The rim is colored gray, with cutouts where there are what appear to be red flowers with green leaves; however, careful inspection will show that the flowers are actually hearts.

The plate is 9.25 inches wide and is in excellent condition. There are no flaws that I can find, and the plate is remarkably free from utensil marks and scratches.

The plate is stamped under-glaze with a green mark that reads "Ivory / Lamberton / China / Sterling." Price: $7.50
