Steubenville
1 Cup, 2 Saucers, and 1 Bread & Butter Plate

Designed by Russel Wright

Four pieces of vintage Russel Wright dinnerware in the American Modern shape, made by Steubenville between 1939 and 1959. Included in this listing are 2 saucers, 1 cup, and 1 bread and butter plate. These classic Eames-era gems are finished in what I think is the "Granite Gray" glaze (see replacements.com item #97789).

The bread and butter plate measures 6-1/8 inches wide. It is in excellent condition, with no flaws that I can see (no chips, cracks, or utensil marks). The cup measures 3.75 inches wide by about 1.75 inches high. It to is in excellent condition. There are two saucers, measuring 5-7/8 inches wide. One is in excellent condition, one has a small fleabite to the rim. Both the saucers have faint marks for Russel Wright and/or Steubenville. The small plate and cup appear unmarked. Price: $15.00.

2 Steubenville Pepper Shakes,
Designed by Russel Wright

Offered for auction: Two vintage Russel Wright pepper shakes (one was apparently used for salt, based on the contents when I washed it) in the American Modern shape, made by Steubenville between 1950 and 1959. These Eames-era display gems are finished in what I think is the "Bean Brown" and "Chartreuse" glazes (replacements.com item #97784 and 97787).

These 2 pieces are in good condition--no chips, cracks, flakes, or fleabites. The chartreuse piece has a lot of crazing, which has begun to darken. Each piece measures exactly 2 inches high and across.

There are no marks that I can see. Both pieces have what appears to be original cork stoppers and 5 holes on top. Price: $12.00.
