OFFERED: Three wonderfully decorated plates from Royal China (Sebring Ohio) in a pattern called "Goodrich." These plates are 9 inches across with a floral center and inner-ribbing (terms used by replacements.com, pattern 88890). All three plates are in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines that I can see. The floral center designs are exquisite in detail, and show very few marks (the worst one is photographed in the closeup, below, where you can see some loss due to utensil wear around the leaves in the lower left corner).

China Company: Four delightful bread and butter plates from Royal China in the very 1950s design called "Triple Treat," an abstract design of green and dark blue flowers on a white background (the dinner plate has 3 flowers). This is item number 121258 at replacements.com, where it is described as "CAVALIER, GREEN & BLUE FLOWERS" on a 6-3/8 inch B&B plate. These plates are in excellent condition--they look as if they were never used. There are no chips, cracks, fleabites, hairlines, or crazing. The pattern is fully intact on all four plates, and there are only bare hints of utensil marks. All four of these plates are unmarked. They are in the Cavalier shape from Royal China (USA). Price: $14. |

Royal China, Currier & Ives "The Old Grist Mill" plates were first produced in 1949. These would be of more recent vintage, probably the 1960s, as they are marked "dishwasher safe." These two plates are 10 inches wide, and in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. The detailing is beautifully defined on both, and the blue color is rich and strong. There is only the faintest indication of utensil marks when the plates are held up to the light, so they appear to be rarely and very lightly used. Two 10-inch plates in excellent condition:

Both plates are marked (see photo at left) with Royal China Jeannette / Currier & Ives / U.S.A. Price: $15. |
