Van Briggle Pottery:
Candlestick Holder
Honey Gold Glaze with Green Drip

One elegant candle stick holder from Van Briggle Pottery, in a rich brown glaze I think is "Honey Gold," with with green drip.

This nicely shaped piece has fine detail. It measures 5.5 inches long (on the foot) by 3.75 inches wide. The only flaw I can find is a minute fleabite (pinhead size or smaller) on the bottom edge of the foot. There are no cracks or hairlines.

The base is incised (under the glaze) with the AA logo for Van Briggle, and the locale of Colorado Springs. There are a couple of other marks that are hard to make out (a -9 and a mark that looks like A3). I suspect the piece is probably from the 1960s or 1970s.

Price: $7.50
