Cute Little Donkey Toothpick Holder
Probably Made in Japan

A very cute toothpick holder shaped like a miniature donkey pulling a barrel cart, finished is a fine blue glaze. This sweet vintage pieces measures 3 inches in length, 1.25 inches wide across the base, and 2.5 inches high at the ear.

This little guy wears his age well, with no chips, cracks, crazing, hairlines, or flakes. Any small bumps or pits are under the galze and original to manufacture.

The piece is unmarked. But the bottom is an unglazed white clay. At first I thought it might be by one of the novelty pottery makers such as Morton Pottery, but my best guess is "Made in Japan" (there was probably a paper sticker that has been removed). Price: $5.00.

Vintage Made in Japan
Dutch Girl
Small Blue and White Vase

A very sweet vase marked Made in Japan, featuring a hand-decorated Delft blue and white Dutch girl standing next to a blue and white vase. It measures 5 inches high, about 4 inches long, and 1.5 inches deep.

This vintage piece (I would guess 1950s) has one area of damage that I can find. On the girl's hat, there is a shallow chip on the top end (not visible from front; see photos below, with orange arrows). There is no other damage that I can find.

This piece (which I believe may be porcelain rather than pottery, as it is semi-transluscent, the light shows through it) has a brown "Made in Japan" mark on the bottom.

Price: $5.00.
