Classic Native American Shape, in Orange and Green Swirl Pattern

4.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide

This crisply shaped vase in the Native American style from Nemadji features colorful swirls in rich textured orange and green, on a matte tan-colored background. The inside is glazed tan.

This vase is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, flakes, or crazing. I thought it had a crack or a thick scratch on one side, but closer inspection showed that it's a dark streak in the glaze; you can see it's actually in the clay, and under the orange swirl. It appears original to manufacture and does not clean off. Fortunately it is not on the best side for display.

This vase is clearly marked with an impressed stamp for Nemadji USA. There's also some indelible ink markings on the foot from the stupid store where I bought it.

From Nemadji advertising:
"The warm rich colors of this pottery recall the colorful costumes of the redman, who, though long since gone to the happy hunting grounds, still haunts in spirit the plains, streams, woods, and lakes of this our Empire."

Price: $7.50.
