Beautiful Old Western Stoneware Vase, Turquoise

Large 8" Yellow Vase
Rich Glaze, Great Shape

A wonderfully designed large vase in a bright yellow glaze. It has nicely detailed ribbed sizes, highlighted by inversed arches around the bttom, a protruding lip in the middle, and a wide footed base. I believe this piece is an older product from Western Stoneware.

The vase measures 8 inches high, almost 6 inches wide at the rim, and 4.5 inches wide across the foot.

This pot is in fair to good condition. There is some heavy crazing, particuarly around the foot; it has darkened in spots, thanks to the thrift store's marker. There is also one flake or shallow chip on the edge of the foot (see closeup photos at top for details). The inside is very solid and clean.

The bottom of the vase has an exposed light-tan clay footring. There is a mark with an impressed block and the letters USA. Price: $20.00.
