Satin Pinkish-Brown Glaze

This tall bottle vase from Haeger is finished in a satin pinkish-brown (or dark coral) glaze, and is in excellent condition. The vase measures 12-1/8 inches high and is 5 inches wide at the bulbous base. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, or crazing. The thick glaze has some bumps that are original to manufacture.

The bottom is not marked, and has the typical 3 stilt marks. But there is also a paper label on the bottom for "Haeger / U.S.A. / 4311."

Price: $12.00.

Royal Haeger Pottery
Electric Orange Ashtray
Mid-Century Modern Design

What an electric piece of Mid-Century Modern design, marked Royal Haeger. This round ashtray has a glowing orange glaze that appears to be sprayed and pooled over a fern-green base glaze. It almost glows. Moreover, I love the simplicity of the shape: a perfectly round dish, with the 3 joined quadrilateral pieces rising in the center.

This cool piece measures 7.25 inches wide and 1.25 inches high at the rim. It is in good condition. There is one chip on the underside of the rim. There are no other chips, cracks, or hairlines that I can see, and the glaze is very rich and solid (white spots in photos are camera flash).

The bottom of this piece has an incised mark for "Royal Haeger / USA." There is also a piece number that begins with "R", but I can't quite make out the rest. Price: $5.00.

Soft Pink Glaze:
8.5-Inch Haeger Tall Vase
# 3213,
Wonderful form, ca. 1946

From Haeger Pottery comes this light pink tall vase, as shown in the Haeger catalog for 1946 (page 60, "Haeger Potteries," D. Dilley).

The piece is in fair to good condition. There are 3 glaze flakes or shallow chips around the bottom edge of the pedestal foot. There are no chips to the rim or body. There are no cracks or hairlines, no any crazing. Any bumps are under the glaze and original to manufacture.

The vase measures 8.5 inches high at the rim and 7 inches wide across the rim. This piece is unmarked, but has the 3 typical Haeger firing or stilt marks. Price: $9.00.
