Lovely Small
RumRill
(RedWing)
Organic Flower-form Vase,
Peach Satin Glaze

A lovely, small peach satin (sherbet pink color) vase from George Rumrill / Red Wing.

This small vase measures 4.75 inches tall at the side, 3.25 inches wide near the rim, and 2.25 inches wide across the base.

This little piece has some serious condition problems. The biggest is that the foot was broken and visibly repaired, as shown in the photo below (and why the starting price is so low for such a pretty piece). There is also heavy crazing around the rim edge and around the base. Despite the flaws, this piece makes a lovely display. Price: $6.00.

REDWING DINNERWARE:

2 RedWing
Hand-Painted Blossom-Time
Green Cups

Two hand-painted cups from Red Wing in the pattern called "Blossom Time" in the Concord shape, pink flower, green finish. These two cups measures 4.25 inches wide at the rim and 1.75 inches high. The painted designs are rich in color.

These Redwing cups are in fair to good condition. One has some darkened crazing on the inner botto (photo below, hard to see, but enough that I would only use this cup for display) and a thin manufacture's scratch mark under the glaze on the handle. They both have a couple of little black bumps (original to manufacture). There are no noticeable utensil marks or scuffs, and no chips. The cups are unmarked.

RedWing Hand-Painted Morning Glory
3 Pink Saucers

Three saucers from Red Wing in the pattern called "Morning Glory" in the Concord shape, pink flowers. These 6-1/8-inch saucers show hand-painted, pink morning glories surrounded by green leaves on a grayish-white background. The painting quality is wonderful, and the detail and color are rich.

These Redwing plates are in only fair condition (not as good as the camera flash makes them look). There is heavy crazing, which has darkened on two of the saucers (hard to see in the camera flash, see orange arrows below). There are also some tiny bumps and pits that are original to manufacture. There are no chips or cracks. All three are stamped with a blue REDWING mark under the glaze. Price: $5.00.

2 Hand-Painted Cups and Saucers from
Red Wing Pottery Lexington Rose

Two coffee cups and saucers produced from 1942 to 1955, in the Lexington Rose line from Redwing. This design features a huge hand-painted red rose with green leaves, and was the first to be hand-decorated by Red Wing. It is described at replacements.com as "Concord shape, red rose, green leaves" (see item 83260).

The saucers measure 6.25 inches wide at the center of the rim. The cups are 4 inches wide and 1.75 inches high. One cup has a small flake to the rim, and one saucer has a chip on the underside foot (under glaze, and original to manufacture). One cup has some darkened crazing. Overall, the rose designs are rich and fully intact, and there are few signs of use.

The saucers are stamped on the bottom with the RedWing logo. The cups show a date mark for 1942 and 1943. Price: $10.00

Vintage Hand-Painted Creamer from
Red Wing Pottery Lexington Rose

A neatly shaped creamer produced by Redwing, between 1942 to 1955, in a pattern called Lexington Rose. This piece is a long spouted creamer, decorated with a hand-painted red rose with green leaves. It is described at replacements.com as "Concord shape, red rose, green leaves" (see item 83260).

This neat old creamer measures 7 inches long from spout tip to handle, and 3.5 inches high at the tip of the spout. It is in only fair condition, with heavy crazing that has darkened in spots, especially on the interior (see photos at right). There is one pinhead-size fleabite on the spout tip. The hand-painted rose design is richly intact on both sides, as is the band on the handle. The creamer stamped on the bottom with the RedWing logo. Price: $5.00.
