Zanesville Stoneware Bulb Bowl

A very old, lovely planter bowl from Zanesville Stoneware Company of Zanesville, Ohio. I believe this is the Zasko glaze. This heavy piece is in good condition. It has some light flea bites to the chi-detailing (shown in the second photo), but no cracks or hairlines, and its design is very well defined. Price: $75.

Zanesville Stoneware Company
Large, Gloss Black Vase
Shape #B-18

Offered: This is a large vase that I believe is shape # B-18 in a gloss black glaze from Zanesville Stoneware Company of Roseville, Ohio. This particular shape is shown on page 72 of the identification guide Zanesville Stoneware Company, by Rans, Ralston, and Russel.

This very-solid, two-handled is in very good condition. There is one pinhead-size fleabite on the rim, and no other chips, cracks, hairlines, or crazing. The handles are well defined, and it is definitely solid black (much darker than the flash of my camera makes it look; the camera flash also makes some of the clay areas appear orange, but the clay is definitely the sandy brown typical of ZSC).

This heavy vase is 10.5 inches high at the rim and 7 inches wide across the handles. The lightly glazed bottom is unmarked. Price: $75.00.

Zanesville Stoneware Company
Gloss Aqua Vase
Shape #F-1

This is a oval form vase that is shape # F-1 in a glaze called Gloss Aqua, from Zanesville Stoneware Company of Roseville, Ohio. This particular shape is shown on page 63 (and following) of the identification guide Zanesville Stoneware Company, by Rans, Ralston, and Russel; the glaze color is on page 79.

This very-solid vase is in very good condition. There are a few pinpoint-size glaze skips on one side (not as visible as the camera flash makes them appear i the photo at right, in the center). There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or crazing. The clay is the sandy brown typical of ZSC.

This heavy oval-shaped vase measures about 5-3/8 inches wide, 4.5 inches deep, and sits 4 inches high. The lightly glazed bottom has an incised F 1 mark. Price: $25.00
