Dryden Pottery
Black Hills, South Dakota, Creamer and Sugar

This listing is for a vintage creamer and sugar made by Dryden Pottery, probably sold as tourist ware in Black Hills, South Dakota. The pieces have a shiny black glaze with incised writing for Black Hills (on the creamer) and S.D. (on the sugar).

The creamer is in excellent condition. It measures 3 inches high and 4.5 inches long from spout to handle.

The sugar is in only fair condition, with two cracks and a hairline along the base. The worst crack is on the back corner (see closeup photos at top), but there is also a very tight crack on the front corner by the handle. It measures 3 inches high and 5 inches wide across the handles.

The sugar bowl has an incised mark for Dryden, along with a number or letters I can't quite make out. Price: $9.00.
