Stangl
Antique Gold Oval Ashtray
Model 5116-S, "Safety"

This listing is for a beautiful "Antique Gold" oval ashtray in a glaze designed by Kay Hackett for Stangl Pottery (Trenton, NJ). This particular piece, #5116-S, was in production from 1962 to 1963 and again from 1968 to 1970 (see Runge, Collector's Encyclopedia of Stangl, p. 344).

This colorful piece measures 6 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches high. It is in very good to excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The gold-brushed blue glaze is very solid and intact.

The vintage ashtray is clearly marked on the bottom with "Stangl Pottery / Trenton, N.J. / 5116-S / Safety Ashtray / Antique4 Gold." (There are also two very worn green felt pads still on the foot rim.)
Price: $15.00.
