Watt Pottery
9-inch Flat Bowl
"Apple" Pattern, 3 Leaf

A nicely shaped large "flat bowl" from Watt Pottery, in the pattern commonly called "Apple" with the three-leaf hand-painted design. I believe this is flat bowl #3 (with lip and shoulder), although it does not have a number mark. It measures 8.75 inches wide across the rim and about 3-3/8 high at the lip.

As you can see in the pictures, this bowl has some condition problems. There are several tight cracks on the rim and base, and some crazing on the underside of the bottom (not inside). There are no chips or flakes. I would not use this bowl for baking or mixing, but it would make a charming fruit bowl in a country kitchen.

The bowl has an incised clear ring mark for "Watt Ware / Oven Ware / U.S.A." on the bottom. Price: $9.00.

Watt Pottery
Two 8-ounce Individual Bean Cups
"Bisque"

TWO neat Watt Pottery 8-oz individual bean cups (matte tan on the outside, glossy brown on the inside), in a pattern called "Bisque." They are marked with mold number 75. Each measures 3.5 inches wide at the rim and 2.25 inches high.

One cup is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks or crazing and a fairly clean exterior. The second cup is very clean on the inside, but has a very shallow flake on the bisque finish. Both have an impressed mark for "USA / Oven Ware" with the number 75 in the center. Price: $7.50.
