Brown County, Indiana:
Small Hand-Thrown Honey Pitcher (no lid)

Offered for auction: A wonderful piece of Americana from Brown County, Indiana. This small jug or pitcher with handle (but missing the lid) is hand-incised on the front with 'Honey from Brown County Ind.'

This neat jug measures 3.75 inches high at the rim and 2.75 inches wide at the rim. It is in only fair condition. In addition to the missing lid, there is a large chip on the rim (visible in the photos), and a small fleabite on the spout (again, see enlarged photos for details).

The base is incised with what looks like the number 47. This piece has a charming, rustic, country feel that just makes you want to pick it up! Price: $7.00.
