McCoy Pottery
Tiara Line

Green Pot #613

A lovely, richly defined green planter or jardiniere from McCoy Pottery, in the "Tiara" Line, shape # 613 (shown on page 185 of Volume III, Nissen, Hanson, Hanson, "McCoy Pottery"). It is a square-shaped pot with wavy edges and ribbed sides.

This medium-size pot is 4 inches tall, 5 inches wide at the rim, and 4.25 inches wide at the foot. It is in very good to excellent condition, with a solid glaze and nice detail. It is very clean, inside and out. Most unusual, all four pointy corners are intact (no chips or flakes).

The pot has the Mt. Clements McCoy MCP mark on the bottom, from the late 1960s to early 1970s. Price: $10.00.

Nelson McCoy
1960s Roseville Floraline
"Small Goblet" Vase
Model 429

This is a wonderful piece of McCoy's Floraline —the very elegant Floraline antique gold (I would call it tan or light brown) Nelson McCoy "small goblet" vase, model 429 from the "Roseville Floraline" collection of the 1960s and 1970s. It measures 5.5 inches high and 4.5 inches wide at the rim.

This solid piece of McCoy pottery has a thick matte tan glaze in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or hairlines that I can see. When I found it, this vase was being used as a candle holder, and there is still some wax residue (and staining) on the interior.

The bottom is incised with a mark that reads: "429 / Floraline / LLC/ USA." This piece is shown on page 290 of Volume III, McCoy Pottery, by Nissen, Hanson, Hanson. Price: $10.00.

McCoy Brown Drip Coffee Mug

A terrific rounded coffee cup or mug from Nelson McCoy's 1960s and 1970s brown drip dinnerware. This pattern is shown on page 297 of volume 1 of the McCoy Pottery Collector's Reference (Hanson, Nissen, Hanson).

This cup is in terrific condition; it is very well defined, with none of the glaring manufacturer flaws (such as glaze pops) one expects from 1960s McCoy. The cup measures 3.75 inches high and 2.75 inches across the rim. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines that I can find.

This piece has a clearly incised McCoy logo on the bottom and the number 7025, along with the exposed foot ring that's typical of McCoy Pottery. (Any white spots in the photos are due to camera flash.) Price: $7.00.

McCoy Floraline
“Low Oval Bowl”
Model 476-8

This Nelson McCoy planter is identified as model 476-8 from the "Roseville Floraline" collection, and is called the "Low Oval Footed Bowl" from the 1960s and 1970s. This piece is finished in a very unusual shiny glossy green glaze. It is 8 inches long by 4.5 inches wide at the rim, and sits 2.25 inches high.

This piece is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or hairlines. There is a bit of light glazing in spots, original to manufacture. This is a very solid, heavy, substantial piece of McCoy; it is clearly marked on the bottom "Floraline / USA / 476-8."
Price: $10.00.
