This is a wonderful piece of McCoy's Floraline —the very elegant Floraline antique gold (I would call it tan or light brown) Nelson McCoy "small goblet" vase, model 429 from the "Roseville Floraline" collection of the 1960s and 1970s. It measures 5.5 inches high and 4.5 inches wide at the rim. This solid piece of McCoy pottery has a thick matte tan glaze in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or hairlines that I can see. When I found it, this vase was being used as a candle holder, and there is still some wax residue (and staining) on the interior. The bottom is incised with a mark that reads: "429 / Floraline / LLC/ USA." This piece is shown on page 290 of Volume III, McCoy Pottery, by Nissen, Hanson, Hanson. Price: $15.00.
Lowenbrau Mug Stein (Price: $5.00)
Two (2) Nelson McCoy Floraline Vases: 7-inch "Ribbed
Urn" #474 Two nice pieces of McCoy's Floraline, clearly marked. On the left is the very elegant green Nelson McCoy Floraline "ribbed urn," also called a pedestal planter or vase, model 474 from the "Roseville Floraline" collection of the 1960s and 1970s. It measures 7 inches high from the base to the rim and 5.25 inches wide across the rim. On the right is the round pedestal container, model 461. It measures 4-7/8 inches high and 5.25 inches wide across the rim. The taller piece has two 1/8-inch glaze flakes (shallow chips) on the rim, and the shorter piece has one. Price for pair (as is): $10.00.
