Early California
Vernon Kilns Turquoise Blue Creamer
Vintage 1930s-40s California Pottery

A gorgeous rich turquoise blue creamer from Vernon Kilns (Vernonware), in a pattern called "Early California." I believe this is the round Montecito shape in the turquoise color. Early California was produced from the mid-1930s up into the 1950s. This creamer measures 3 inches high, 2-7/8 inches wide across the open rim, and 5.5 inches from spout tip to handle end. It is in good good condition. There is one small (shallow) glaze flake on the underside of the foot rim, not visible when the creamer is sitting (see closeup photo). There are no other flaws or wear that I can see. The underside shows a stamped mark that reads "Early California / Authentic Vernonware / Vernon Kilns / Calif. / Pottery / Made in U.S.A." Price: $12.00.

Homespun Vernon Ware
"Organdie" Creamer
Vintage California Pottery

A colorful creamer from Metlox Vernon Kilns line, in a pattern called "Organdie" (brown and yellow plaid, made from 1937 to 1958). This piece is colorfully decorated in a plaid pattern of golden yellow and brown, with off-white inside.

The creamer measures 5.75 inches from spout tip to handle, 4 inches wide at the middle, and 3 inches high. It is in good condition, with one pinhead-size fleabite on the tip, and no other flaws that I can see or find. The underside shows a stamped mark that reads "Authentic / Vernonware / Made in U.S.A." Price: $5.00.
