The CRC is located at 1525 East 53rd Street, suite 906, in the neighborhood of Hyde Park (in the Hyde Park Bank Building, just off Lake Shore Drive). Classes begin promptly at 9:30 and last until 4:30, with one person per computer. An instructor explains the agenda, then leads the students through exercise after exercise, making sure everyone understands "why" each step is being taken. Students are encouraged to ask questions that relate to their work, or to bring samples of their work to class. Class size is kept small to ensure personal attention.

About the Classes

The Computer Resource Center, Inc., offers computer training and support for professionals and individuals who need to learn popular computer software. Classes in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, Illustration, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and other programs will make you highly proficient as quickly as possible We also offer on-site and individual instruction.

The atmosphere is professional, yet personal. Dress is business casual and coffee (and snacks) are allowed in the classroom. Dress comfortably, as it is difficult to sit for 6 hours at a computer. Lunch break is 12:30 until 1:30, and there are 10-minute breaks in the middle of the morning and afternoon.

Organizations with several persons to be trained are encouraged to call CRC to set up special classes tailored to your needs. Generally, these special classes can be offered at a substantial discount, if you have 6 to 8 students.
