Gold
Trim A very pretty demitasse or small cup, made in Occupied Japan (1945-1952). This lovely vintage cup measure 2.25 inches high and 2 inches wide at the rim. It has a gold trim around the rim, which shows a little wear on the back but is very intact in the front. The colorful floral decoration is a decal. This miniature cup is in very good condition. The front decal is very clean and rich in color (no scratches or wear). The handle is completely intact (no cracks or hairlines). The only flaw I can find is what I thought was a tiny scratch mark on the back side near the rim (photo at right); however, on close inspection, I find that it is actually just a smear spot where the gold trim has run! This
piece has a red stamped mark that says: Price: $12 |
