This nicely shaped pillow vase from Frankoma has a wonderful Prairie Green glaze. I believe the clay is the earlier brown Ada variety, rather than the later red Sapulpa. It has an incised mark "63 / Frankoma." A heavy piece, this vase measures 7.5 inches high, 4.75 inches wide, and 3 inches deep. There is one serious flaw, a large 2-inch crack crossing one corner (as visible in the photos, at bottom). Price: $9.00

This richly glazed planter or vase from Frankoma has a wonderful green glaze in the noted design of a wagon wheel, from Oklahoma's premier pottery. I believe this glaze is called Prairie Green, and it adds an effect almost like aged copper. The clay appears to be the earlier brown Ada variety, rather than the later red Sapulpa. This piece has what appears to be firing damage on the bottom, which has pulled off part of the bottom glaze and the corners on one side (photo at right). It has partially obscured the stamped, incised "Frankoma" mark. There are no other chips or cracks. Price: $12.
