Nelson McCoy
Floraline
"Arrangement Vase"

Model 433

A very pretty mid-century mod style pedestal bowl from McCoy's Floraline of the 1960s and 1970s; it's called an "Arrangement Vase" in McCoy advertising. This gorgeous large piece is glazed in a thick, dark, matte green finish ("Olive Green Bronze").

This neat piece of McCoy measures 7.5 inches high at the rim, 6.25 inches at the widest, and 4.5 inches wide across the bottom foot. It is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or crazing; it has a very clear finish, with very few glaze pops (pinpoint-size bubbles original to manufacture) or scratches.

The base is marked under the thick glaze with 433 / FLORALINE / USA. This particular piece is shown in the Nissen, Hanson, Hanson "McCoy Encyclopedia, Volume III" on page 244.
Price: $25.00.

1960s Roseville F

"Small Goblet" Vase
Model 429

This is a wonderful piece of McCoy's Floraline —the very elegant Floraline antique gold (I would call it tan or light brown) Nelson McCoy "small goblet" vase, model 429 from the "Roseville Floraline" collection of the 1960s and 1970s. It measures 5.5 inches high and 4.5 inches wide at the rim.

This solid piece of McCoy pottery has a thick matte tan glaze in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or hairlines that I can see. When I found it, this vase was being used as a candle holder, and there is still some wax residue (and staining) on the interior, but not visible from the exterior (photo at right)

The bottom is incised with a mark that reads: "429 / Floraline / LLC/ USA." This piece is shown on page 290 of Volume III, McCoy Pottery, by Nissen, Hanson, Hanson. Price: $15.00.

McCoy Pottery:
Water Pitcher
Vintage 1950s Pedestal Line

Offered for sale:
McCoy Pottery ewer or water pitcher in a bright yellow glaze from the 1950s or early 1960s. The pattern is shown on page 89 of the McCoy Pottery Collector's Reference, volume III (Nissen, Hanson, Hanson); it features a basket-weave like base.

Dimensions:
This piece measures 5.25 inches high at the spout tip, 6 inches long from spout tip to handle end, and 3 inches wide across the opening on top.

Condition:
This pitcher is in fair to good condition. The one visible flaw is craze lines that have gotten discolored (see photo at right and below). I have tried various cleaning methods with no luck. The other sides and and the interior are very clean, and free of chips, cracks, flakes, or other flaws that I can find.

Mark:
Raised McCoy mark, as used in the 1950s.

Price: $9.00
