Brush-McCoy Green Drip Planter Ribbed with Flourished Feet |
||
This Brush or Brush-McCoy ribbed flower bowl or planter with detailed feet has a lovely rich green-drip glaze. It measures 6 inches long at the top rim, 4.25 inches wide at the center of the rim, and 3.5 inches in height. This vintage pottery is in terrific condition. There are no flaws (cracks, chips, hairlines, or flakes), and the inside is very clean. There is very light crazing throughout the piece. Any bumps or glaze pops are original to manufacture. This lovely piece is unmarked; it has rounded unglazed feet, typical of Brush pieces. I suspect it dates to the 1960s. Price: $12 |

6-Sided
Shape,
Rich Olive-Gold Glaze, A terrific olive-gold flower pot or jardiniere from Brush-McCoy, in a six-sided shape and decorated with sprays of leaves (or grain) on branches, probably made during the 1960s or early 1970s. The glaze almost looks like stone, with slight hints of black and red embedded in the golden-tan. Similar shapes and glazes are shown on pages 120-21 of the Sanford Guide to Brush-McCoy Pottery. This solid piece is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, flakes, or hairlines I can find. This pot is unmarked. It has the exposed wedgy feet typical of Brush. It measures 5 inches in height, 5.25 inches long at the rim, and 4.5 inches deep at the rim. It is a wonderful, colorful addition to any Brush collection! Price: $10 |
