Wonderful Shape and Glaze:
Two Satin Blue Candle Holders
Ribbed, Haldeman

Two satin blue candle holders, with ribbed sides and rims. The best guess on the eBay PGP board was that these were made by Haldeman (California pottery).

Each measures about 3 inches wide and 2 inches high at the tips. Both show medium crazing (visible in the photos at right), but there are no other flaws (no chips, cracks, flakes, or hairlines) except those original to manufacture and visible in the photos (such as firing marks on the bottom) that I can find.

Both pieces are unmarked. Price: $12.00.

Beautiful Pacific Pottery Plate (1940s)
with Green Leaves, Red Strawberries, and Yellow Flowers

Offered for auction: A truly lovely creamy yellow-white hand-decorated dinnerware plate from Pacific Pottery, decorated with hand-painted strawberries, yellow flowers, and green leaves (see Chipman's Encyclopedia of California Pottery, page 206).

This large plate measures 10-5/8 inches wide. It is in very good condition, with a couple of slight craze lines around the curved verge. Otherwise, there are no cracks, hairlines, chips, or flakes. The decoration is richly colored and fully intact.

The plate is stamped "Pacific / Hand Painted / Made in California / Pat. Pend. U.S.A." with the coastline view. Price: $75.00.

This gorgeous plate measures 10-1/8 inches wide across the rolled rim. It is in excellent condition; it actually appears to have never been used (i.e., no utensil marks or scratches that I can see). There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, or other damage or flaws that I can find.
