Green Vase
A true piece of "California" pottery from Claire Lerner Studio, Los Angeles (see Chipman and Lehner), in business from the 1940s until about 1955. This small, pretty green vase is dated 1950.
With a richly detailed relief, this small piece is 4 inches high at the rim and 3.5 inches wide at the top.
It is in good condition. There is a scratch and fleabite to the rim on one side (photo below), and a flake on the underside of one corner at the foot.
The vase is has an incised mark for "Classic / Claire Lerner / California / L-105 19©50." Price: $15

A gorgeous, irridescent Moreno Ceramics bowl, with oranges swirling from fiery to cool. This bowl is in very good condition; it shows light crazing throughout, but nothing structural (no hairlines or cracks) that I can detect.
A terrific addition to any California pottery collection, this bowl is vintage!

Cheerful 50s Retro-Chic California Pottery Planter

This large jardiniere is vintage California pottery. It looks like an opening egg, with white sides and a yellow rim. One expects Chicken Little or Baby Huey to jump out!
It is in very good condition, with one area of glaze flaking (see bottom right photo for closeup) that would be easily covered or repaired. There are light hairlines throughout the white areas, giving the piece a wonderful patina. The hairlines are more noticeable on the inside, where they have absorbed soil. Overall, the pot displays with a rich glow and a lot of "shabby chic" character!

Lovely gray bowl, marked "110." Looks like a Russel Wright style, but might be Metlox or one of the small designers (like Cleminson; it matches a picture in the Chipman California pottery book). Beautiful condition.

In beautiful condition. Has very light crazing on the outside, and no cracks, hairlines, or chips. Has a lovely geometric design around the inner edges, and a sunburst on the base.
