In mid-March, 2010, my brother Rodney and I spent a week on the restful island of Oahu. We saw Pearl Harbor, the Aloha Tower, incredible beaches and waves, flowers and trees that made us gape, and a lot of history. We ate lumpia in a Filipino restaurant (Mabuhay), pineapple ice cream (Dole Plantation), spam musubi (military PXs), pulled pork (Rainbow Inn), and poi (Hale Koa luau). We drank mai tais and local beer brews, got sunburned on the beaches, blisters from walking, and all-around relaxed with our Aloha shirts.
